Child Safety
Learn, experiment, and build safely.
These guidelines help younger learners and the adults supporting them use devpathline, coding tools, AI assistants, and external services more safely.

Adult guidance
Children under 13 should use devpathline with a parent, guardian, teacher, or another trusted adult. An adult should review exercises and supervise any activity involving terminal commands, downloads, cloud services, payments, publishing, or account creation.
devpathline is a general learning guide, not a substitute for supervision, professional instruction, or age-appropriate safety controls.
Protect personal information
Do not put real private information into practice projects, prompts, code examples, or public repositories.
- Never share passwords, access tokens, API keys, home or school addresses, phone numbers, or identity documents.
- Use invented names and sample data instead of information about real people.
- Do not upload school, family, medical, financial, or workplace files to an AI tool or external service without informed adult permission.
Run code carefully
- Use a separate practice project and keep recoverable backups.
- Read and understand a command before running it. Do not disable security protections to make an exercise work.
- Do not test code against systems, accounts, networks, or data you do not own or have permission to use.
- Ask a trusted adult before installing software, entering payment details, deploying publicly, or granting an app access to files, a camera, a microphone, or a location.
AI and Vibe Coding
AI tools can produce incorrect, unsafe, biased, insecure, or inappropriate output. The Vibe Coding roadmap is for general learning only and does not guarantee that generated code is correct, safe, secure, lawful, or ready for production. It also does not guarantee a job, qualification, income, or successful product. Keep a human responsible for reviewing, testing, and understanding every change.
External sites and advertising
devpathline may mention third-party documentation, tools, hosting services, or advertisements. Those services have their own content, age limits, data practices, and terms. Younger learners should ask a trusted adult before following an external link, creating an account, installing anything, or making a purchase.
Communication and uncomfortable content
devpathline currently has no public profiles, direct messages, or community posting. If an external service asks for private contact, requests secrecy, pressures you to act, or shows content that feels unsafe, stop using it and tell a parent, guardian, teacher, or another trusted adult.
What devpathline stores
devpathline stores roadmap progress, saved paths, theme choice, and visit history in the current browser. It does not require a devpathline account. Read the Privacy Policyfor current details and the Terms of Use for the limits of the service.
